Písek is the first town in South Bohemia which used the EPC method to reduce their costs.
The aim of the complex of energy-saving measures, which was successfully completed in December 2013 in eighteen school buildings and cost nearly 0.67 million EURO, is an annual saving of 92.6 thousand EURO which represents 16% of the original energy costs.
The implemented measures will allow achieving maximum savings in heating, lighting and water consumption.
A key measure is the individual heating control in the rooms which among other things allows heating individual classrooms depending on the weather and schedule so the heat is delivered to the places where it is needed so much more efficiently.
